Dear Fr. Gruner,
Attached you will find a copy of the letter which I wrote to Fr. Mitch
Pacwa on EWTN. I had written an earlier one but discarded it, not believing
that Fr. Pacwa and EWTN would support such mean-spirited propaganda as
demonstrated by Fr. Robert Fox on a very recent EWTN Live program. I still do
not think that they would, knowingly. However, the special report by
Christopher A. Ferrara on ‘Fr. Fox’s Modernist Assault on
Fatima’ changed my mind immediately. I now know it is my Christian duty to
defend to EWTN not only you and your Apostolate, but Our Lady and our Church as
well. I was so deeply upset and distressed to read about the Hindu pagan
ceremony at Fatima. It literally broke my heart. I can’t even imagine how
Jesus and Our Lady must feel. When I went to Adoration that evening after
reading about this blasphemous event, I talked to Our Lord about it. I am still
very sad about these and other abuses in our Church, but have come to realize
that things will never be the same as when we were growing up. We just have to
remember that Our Lord knows all this, and more, and is in complete control. We
must just keep fighting the good fight and pray for our enemies both within and
outside our beloved Church — an example which you yourself have set.
Thank you always for your loving selflessness in the face of unrelenting
persecutions which have followed you for years. Thank you for never giving up,
when it would be so easy to do. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. I
will continue to keep you in my daily prayers, as well.
