Meet Some of Our Lady’s Workers

Our Lady's Apostolate is fortunate to have many people in its American and Canadian offices who are deeply dedicated to the work of spreading the Message of Fatima. Once a month, Father Gruner holds a Staff Appreciation Day for all Apostolic workers. At this time, important announcements are made, and those having birthdays and anniversaries are wished well. In this newsletter we would like to feature a few employees from the U.S. office of the Fatima Center in Constable, New York.

Pearl Garneau

Pearl and her husband, Armand, (who passed away in 1994), started Servants of Jesus and Mary in Constable, New York, in the 1970s. Mrs. Garneau helps Father Gruner answer some of the many letters he receives every day. Pearl also sends out the daily greeting cards and memorial cards. In her spare time, she enjoys reading about health and world issues. Mrs. Garneau has six children, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Vanda Garneau

Vanda works at Servants of Jesus and Mary and is married to Steven Garneau, Pearl's son. They met when Vanda started working for Father Gruner in 1990. They recently celebrated their 8th anniversary and they have 2 children, a daughter who is 5 and a son who is 2.

Vanda started working in data entry and then went on to work in purchasing and inventory and is now the order department manager. In addition to working full-time and raising two children, Vanda is also attending college to get her degree in Human Services. She will graduate this December. Her husband just received his Business Management Degree from college, while also working full-time.

Wellington Joe Lewis

Wellington has worked at the Constable office since 1995, where he started in the purchasing department. He now works in the order department for radio and television information and gift fulfillment requests.

He attends St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Brushton, where he is the Choir Director and organist.

Joe has five children (three girls, two boys) and recently one of his sons got married. He is an owner-partner of Joyful Creations which is a unique hand-crafted gift shop in the heart of downtown Brushton, N.Y.
