The Proper Consecration of Russia What Is Necessary!
At the request of bishops and priests and laypeople, The Fatima Crusader offers a text of the Consecration of Russia which might be used when the Pope decides to obey the command of Our Lady of Fatima to consecrate Russia.
It is not offered here as the best formula or the only formula of Consecration. But it is offered to help the Church and the Pope and the bishops come to an Act of Consecration of Russia that would fulfill Our Lady of Fatima's requests.
The Act of Consecration as requested by Our Lady of Fatima is to be made by each and every Catholic bishop in a solemn and public manner, preferably in the context of Mass after the Gospel and the Homily. It is to be said on the same day and at the same time as the Holy Father. (Thus, this worldwide public ceremony will take place in Cathedrals around the world at local hours during the day or night co-ordinated to be at the equivalent time the Pope does it wherever he is.)
Thus if the Pope is in Rome and offers this Act of Consecration at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th, it would be at 12:00 Noon in New York, it would be at 9:00 a.m. in Los Angeles and it would be at 10:30 p.m. in Bombay, India and at Midnight, December 9th, in Manila, Philippines.
The reason for this condition is that God wants a public, worldwide day of prayer, reparation and consecration. He wants all the Church and eventually everyone in the world to recognize that it is due to this public and solemn act of obedience and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary that God has conceded the most extraordinary grace of the conversion of Russia to the Catholic Faith and peace to the whole of mankind.
It is essential for this act to have several elements to achieve its promised effect:
l. It is a public and solemn act.
2. By the Pope and in active union with him, the Catholic bishops of the world.
3. It is to be the consecration of (a) Russia (b) To the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
4. It is also to be an act of reparation (for the crimes of state atheism.)
5. The Pope is to order the bishops to obey.
6. The Pope and Bishops should encourage the Faithful to fulfill the requests of Our Lady and Our Lord for the Five First Saturdays of Reparation. An allusion to this important request of Fatima should be made in this Act of Consecration of Russia.
With these facts in mind then, we attempt to offer at the request of a number of bishops, the Act of Consecration that would satisfy all the requirements.
The complete text of our proposed act of consecration of Russia is too long to publish in this issue of The Fatima Crusader. We will have copies of our proposed text for all the bishops at the Fatima Peace Conference and after the conference hope to have a more final text of this prayer which so many of our readers, bishops, priests and laypeople want.
We do provide here our proposed closing paragraph of the Act of Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It is the actual act itself and it is based on the final paragraph of Pope Pius XII's Act of Consecration of July 7, 1952.
"And we, so that our fervent prayers for conversion of our generation to Jesus Christ the King and that the fervent prayers and aspiration of all the Faithful and in particular the Faithful of Russia may be heard, and to give to Thee, O Immaculate Virgin Mary, the testimony of our devotion and obedience so now we consecrate, and in a most solemn and public manner we entrust all the people of Russia to Thy Immaculate Heart, with the firm hope that soon, thanks to the all-powerful patronage of Thee, O Blessed Virgin Mary, the wishes which we form may be happily fulfilled, for a true peace, fraternal concord and the liberty due to all, and in the first place to the Church. Thus by our prayer, united to Thy own and that of the whole Christian people, the Kingdom of the Savior Jesus Christ will be firmly established over all the earth: 'A Kingdom of truth and life, a Kingdom of holiness and grace, a Kingdom of justice, love and peace.'
"And we suppliantly ask Thee O Most Merciful Mother, to obtain from Thy Divine Son, Heavenly light for our minds and for our souls, the strength and courage by which, being supernaturally upheld, we all will be able to repulse and overcome all errors and impiety."
