re: The Power of The Three Hail Marys

“People must amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins. They must not offend Our Lord any more, for He is already too much offended.”
Our Lady of Fatima, Oct. 13, 1917

Dear Friend of Our Lady,

I have been saying for months that the great chastisement of which Our Lady warned us had begun. We, Our Lady’s messengers, have warned of this before.

We published God’s warning in September 2001, just before 9/11. We gave out warning after warning in the next four years.

Then Hurricane Katrina struck and we told the world that there would surely be more natural disasters, wars and persecutions of the Church and the Holy Father, just as Our Lady told us.

Now in less than a month we have witnessed: the destruction caused by Hurricane Rita in the U.S.A.; the ravages of floods and mudslides in Central America; and now the terrible devastation of large areas of Pakistan, Afghanistan and India by a terrible earthquake.

When will we listen? When will we learn?

People ask, why does God allow these things to happen? Some say God does not care about us, otherwise He would save us from these tragedies.

But God does love us. He allows these disasters to happen as a means of chastising us, to make us turn away from sin and amend our lives. And He almost always sends prophets and warnings before He chastises.

The trouble is, most people do not listen! So we keep repeating history. We do not do what God tells us we must do to save ourselves, our families and our children. In 1917 Our Lady told the three seers of Fatima :

“You have seen hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace ...

“I shall come to ask for the Consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays.”

Our Lady told us that we did not have to suffer this terrible chastisement, but we are, because God’s message which Our Lady brought to us is still being ignored.

The spiritual condition of the world gets worse and worse, even after Our Lady gave us both the warning and the solution. Even so, there is still hope. It is never too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary.

Now, more than ever before, we must rely on our Catholic Faith to protect ourselves and our families. And who better to call upon to protect them than the Most Blessed Virgin! She is truly our Heavenly Mother, given to us by Almighty God!

A little gift from Heaven

I am asking you to read, with this letter, a very special leaflet entitled“Heaven Opened by the practice of the Three Hail Marys.”

In times of danger, we must turn to the Blessed Virgin for help. We must persevere faithfully in our devotion to Her. St. Alphonsus de Liguori tells us: “A devout servant of Mary shall never perish.”

You know that Our Lady asks us to pray the Holy Rosary daily. The devotion of the Three Hail Marys is not intended to replace the Rosary, but to be used in addition to it.

Especially for children, but also many others, practice of saying three Hail Marys in the morning and evening, as described in the leaflet, can be a first step leading to the practice of the daily praying of the Most Holy Rosary.

Don’t underestimate the power of this devotion!

You may think that this devotion is a small thing, even insignificant, but please don’t underestimate it.

I recently received a letter from a Brother Priest who told a story he had heard from a visiting bishop which testifies to the power of this little devotion. Let me share a bit of it with you:

The bishop said that when he was selected to be a bishop — a week before he was raised to that position, he went on retreat.

While driving down a deserted highway in the desert at night, he came upon a one-car accident. He stopped to help and discovered the sole person in the car was a man who was dying.

The man was a Catholic, so the priest heard his confession and gave him the last rites. Just before the man died, the priest asked him what he had done to deserve such a grace as to have a Catholic priest come along on a deserted highway just in time to hear his confession and prepare him for death.

The man answered, “No matter how drunk or debauched a life I was leading, I always said the Three Hail Marys.” When I was away from the Faith, the only thing I ever did was pray the Three Hail Marys, usually when I wanted a favor, but pray them I did and quite often. That was all I prayed.

What a beautiful tribute to Our Lady, and to the subtle power of this small devotion of the Three Hail Marys!

Help us spread devotion to Our Lady around the world

The world is in great danger. The chastisement of which Our Lady of Fatima warned has begun. More than ever before, the world needs to heed Our Lady’s requests.

God knew all of this would happen. God and Our Heavenly Mother knew that Their urgent message would be ignored, distorted, and even silenced. So They sent those of us who would listen a sword and a shield, to defend ourselves and our families, and see us safely through these terrible times. Our devotion to the Blessed Virgin is our sure protection!

The weapon Heaven has given to us is the Most Holy Rosary: “There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary ...”

As the leaflet explains, many graces come to us through the daily praying of the Three Hail Marys. And doing so can be the stepping stone that leads us to the daily recitation of the Rosary.

Your help is needed! I write to you today to ask you to help us by distributing as many of these leaflets as you can, particularly to families with children and those who work with children.

We will be happy to send you as many free copies of this leaflet as you can give out. Just call or write us, and tell us how many copies you would like us to send you.

Your prayerful financial support is vital. With all my heart, I am praying that you will remember us in your daily prayers and at Holy Mass, and, if possible, help us in this all-important effort by making an offering.

How much should you give? Printing and distributing even small leaflets like this, in the hundreds of thousands needed to spread this devotion around the world, costs thousands of dollars. We depend on you. Please give as generously as you can.

May Almighty God bless you, and may His Blessed Mother guide you, keep you and protect you from harm.

Yours in Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

   Father Nicholas Gruner
