It is that time of year when we make arrangements for our annual
pilgrimage to Portugal, Spain and France.
As usual, we arranged with hotels, bus companies and airlines, to
reach affordable prices so that everyone can enjoy that once in
a lifetime experience of visiting Shrines where Our Lady manifested
Herself, and where saints lived. Many of these Shrines house tributes
to Our Lady and the saints for special favors and cures received
by pilgrims.
Traditional Catholic teaching on pilgrimages is that those who make
a pilgrimage for the right reasons gain many graces, both spiritual
and temporal.
Our spiritual guide, a traditional Marian priest, will lead
us in prayer at the various shrines and celebrate daily Tridentine
Rite Mass, hear confessions and give spiritual talks along our route.
Among other shrines, we will visit Fatima, where Our Lady appeared
6 times; we will visit the Miraculous Bleeding Host in Santarem;
the shrine of St. Lucia, patron saint of eye problems; Pontevedra,
where Our Lady and the Child Jesus appeared several times to Sister
Lucy; Tuy, where Sister Lucy had the vision of the Holy Trinity;
Rianjo, where the Sacred Heart of Jesus spoke to Sister Lucy; Lourdes,
where She appeared to St. Bernadette numerous times; Zaragoza, where
Our Lady bilocated to St. James; Avila, the city of St. Teresa and
so many more.
