From all eternity God foresaw and permitted the falls of Mary Magdalen, but He had His designs on her and willed to restore life to that dead soul. He decided, however, that this life would be restored to her only on the one condition that she desired it.
Early tradition gives the name Anne to the mother of Our Lady and that of Joachim to Her father. They were of the tribe of Juda and blessed with earthly goods, but Anne, or Hannah, which means "grace"; was childless, and this was a bitter misfortune for Jewish parents. Their prayers for a child were finally heard and late in life, Anne gave birth to a girl who could in truth be called a child of prayer and who was destined to become the Mother of God.
We at the Fatima Center acknowledge that the Message of Fatima given to us by Our Blessed Mother, was truly intended for all children of God, whatever nationality they may be. In order to serve Our Lady in spreading devotion to Her Message, we offer the following translations. (Click on the appropriate flag)"Uma Visão do mundo baseada em Fátima", [Portuguese, "A World View Based on Fatima" (booklet) by John Vennari]
"Una visión del mundo con base en Fátima", [Spanish, "A World View Based on Fatima" (booklet) by John Vennari]
This edited transcript of a very popular talk given by Catholic Family News Editor, John Vennari, at recent Fatima Peace Conferences (and now available as a 32-page booklet) helps us to better understand the real background to the full Fatima Message and emphasizes how the Message of Fatima has to be central to our Catholic life and central to our world view. Our Lady's appearances at Fatima have given us the basis for an entire world view, one that is not outmoded or outdated, but of critical importance."Las Apariciones en Pontevedra (1925 - 1926)", [Spanish, "The Apparitions at Pontevedra (1925-1926)"]
Eight years after the Fatima apparitions of 1917, when Sister Lucy was living in a convent in Pontevedra, Spain, Our Lady returned (as She had promised at Fatima) to Sister Lucy on December 10, 1925. On this occasion, Our Lady came to ask for the Communion of Reparation on the Five First Saturdays. She promised eternal salvation for Catholics who fulfill the Five First Saturdays. Read Sister Lucy's testimony of this event."La Aparición en Tuy (1929)", [Spanish, "The Apparition at Tuy (1929)"]
In the apparition of Our Lady to Sister Lucy at the Dorothean novitiate in Tuy, Spain on June 13, 1929, Our Lady fulfilled Her promise of July 13, 1917 at Fatima to come back later to ask for the consecration of Russia. In this article, read Sister Lucy's description of the communication."La Aparición en Rianjo (1931)", [Spanish, "The Apparition at Rianjo (1931)"]
In August 1931, due to illness, Sister Lucy was staying with a friend at Rianjo, Spain, a small maritime city near Pontevedra, to rest and recover. It was in the chapel here that she was once again given a communication from Heaven. Our Lord complained to Sister Lucy of the tardiness of His ministers who delay the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, as requested by Our Lady of Fatima at Tuy on June 13, 1929. In this article, read Sister Lucy's report to her bishop of this important revelation.
