Sts. Simon and Jude
Simon the Cananean was also called the Zealot. Thaddeus, called in the Gospels Jude of James, was the author of one of the Catholic Epistles. The former went to Egypt and the latter to Mesopotamia to preach the Gospel. Later they met in Persia and brought forth innumerable children for Jesus Christ, spreading the faith in those vast regions and among savage peoples by their teaching and miracles.
And finally together they gave glory to the Holy Name of Jesus Christ by a glorious martyrdom.
